Stephen Maguire suffered double disappointment at the BTV International Snooker Challenge in Beijing as he missed out on a 147 and lost to Stephen Hendry.
Frame seven of the match between the two Scots saw Maguire pot 15 reds with blacks, only to miss the yellow when a maximum beckoned. Hendry eventually won 5-4 - his first success in the tournament.
All four matches played on Thursday went to a deciding frame; Ryan Day beating Mark Allen 5-4, Marco Fu edging out Jin Long 5-4 and Xiao Guodong beating Ali Carter 5-4.
